The Pursuit of Health

 Date: June 13, 2025

The adage, "Health is wealth," a phrase I learned in childhood, is truly resonating with me now, after crossing 40 springs of life.

Maintaining physical well-being is incredibly crucial. For the past year and a half, minor ailments in my body have been a source of growing concern. However, I couldn't bring myself to rely on allopathic treatment for a cure. Deep down, I always had a flicker of faith in Ayurveda, which was further strengthened by the insightful discourse of Jyotirvaid Vaishnavacharya Tanmay Goswami at my workplace.

The wellness session provided significant insights into lifestyle. In today's modern era, lifestyle has become the leading cause of diseases. The blind imitation of Western lifestyles by many is a major contributing factor. This is also why the Indian public often lacks faith in the Ayurvedic medical system. Interestingly, traditional Indian medicine is now slowly becoming a point of attraction for people in the West.

According to Jyotirvaid, treatment isn't about a "quick fix" as is often seen in allopathy. Instead, Ayurvedic treatment is not just a way to cure illness; it's a holistic system for improving lifestyle and maintaining long-term health. If you want to stay healthy, you must keep your stomach healthy, as it's the root of all diseases. The saying, "A clean stomach banishes all ailments," is not just a slogan for medicine; it's remarkably logical. Therefore, a healthy stomach is the strongest indicator of overall well-being.

Health truly is wealth. I've taken my first steps towards Ayurvedic practices in my pursuit of health.
